“Growing up with my mother's tales of witches, that came in the form of 'spirits in the night'...demonic possessions...malicious encounters, much removed from the broomstick and pointy hats, I came to fear them deeply. However, as I grew up and talked with older relatives during recent trips to Nigeria, I came to learn that often, those accused of being witches can often be some of society's most vulnerable, for example, the young, the old and the gifted.”
